We Try On PAIGE Transcend Jeans

by Boys'Co Online

December 13, 2017

Jeans have come a long way over the years from being a durable work-wear pant that was scratchy and rough against the skin, to the most popular, comfortable, and form-fitting bottoms that have carved out a category of its own.  When we thought that jeans could not evolve any further, we tried on a pair of PAIGE Transcend jeans, and were blown away.

The common gripes with denim jeans these days are:

  • stretchy denim is super comfortable, but stretches out and loses its shape
  • structured denim keeps its shape, but is too stiff and uncomfortable
  • really comfortable stretchy jeans are thinner and wear out/develop holes much faster

We typically would go for the more comfortable stretchy denim, and expect to replace them every six months after they wear out or lose their shape.  That was until we tested a pair of PAIGE Transcend jeans.

Looking just like any other denim to the naked eye, PAIGE Transcend jeans come in a variety of fits including the Lennox Skinny Jean and the Federal Mordern Slim Fit Jean.  However, it's truly when you slip on a pair that you start to realize the world of difference.  The medium weight fabric is smooth and soft like a sweatpant, but has the sturdiness of classic denim fabric, and it has a surprising amount of stretch.  Bending down, squatting, or sitting down was easy and comfortable with the jeans on.  But, let's be honest: there are so many stretchy jeans out there that are just as comfortable.

It was 3 months after we began wearing these jeans that we noticed why they are so special.  After countless washes and wears, the jeans fit just like the first time we slipped them on.  The jeans were so easy and reliable that if we weren't looking to see how they performed, this attribute might have gone by unnoticed.  Usually after the third month, we would notice the waistband stretched out, and a little stretching out in the seat and knee areas of jeans.  Shockingly, there were no issues with this pair.  The typical wearing out of the fabric in the crotch area was also absent as well.  We can say with confidence that our new favourite comfortable go-to jean has become PAIGE Transcend.
