Hats have always been a great form of self-expression when it comes to mens fashion. With that being said, the right hat has to be both suitable to your style and reflect your personality. Keep reading below for a quick guide on the most popular headwear styles of the summer.

Ok so the fedora may have gotten a bad rap over recent years, but this is mostly attributed to the fact that it's a very hard hat to pull off. However, if the fedora is worn in just the right way, it can take your best summer outfit from average to effortlessly cool. In its most traditional form, the fedoras brim turns down in the front and up at the back and features a pleated top. The best way to wear a fedora is to keep it nice and simple with a button up shirt and distressed denim.
2. Bucket hat

Perhaps the underdog of all headwear, the bucket hat made an unlikely comeback in 2015. Originally experiencing a wave of popularity in the 90s, this fashion accessory is back stronger than ever. Characterized by its wide and sloping brim, the bucket hat does an incredible job of keeping your head cool. Wear a bucket hat with a colourfully printed button up shirt and a pair of chino shorts for a beach-ready look.
3. Workers Cap

Worker caps are one of the most simple hats in a man's wardrobe. This type of hat rarely comes with any logos or branding but when it does it is very minimal. The construction of the workers cap makes it instinctively feel very vintage and looks great with classic summer outfits. When shopping for a workers cap, stick to something minimal and perhaps slightly distressed. Wear it with a denim button up and a light pair of summer friendly denim.
The Snapback is a popular style of hat which has come in and out of style for years now. Characterized by its flat brim and adjustable strap at the back (hence the name), this type of hat usually features a rather large logo on the front, depicting the wearer's favourite sports team. Although this type of hat has deep roots in sports, you can find them in a variety of different styles featuring more minimal approaches. Wear this type of hat with an elongated white t-shirt and denim shorts for a streetwear inspired look.
5. Curved Brim Hat

Although the curved brim hat has been around for ages, it recently re-emerged in the mainstream fashion world as the "Dad Hat". This nickname was coined due to the fact that it's the type of hat you'd find your dad wearing to your family trip to Disneyland. Not limited to your fathers closet anymore, the curved brim hat looks great with a monochromatic outfit. We recommend wearing it with black distressed denim and a black short sleeve t-shirt.
