Posted: Aug 24 2016
This years Dîner en Blanc marked Vancouver's 5th anniversary celebrating the highly exclusive event. For those who are unfamiliar, Dîner en Blanc is a local-turned-global event which was originally conceptualized in Paris in 1988. Founder François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor picnic and asked them to dress in nothing but white so that they could easily find each other. Fast forward to 2016 and that very same concept has turned into a worldwide event across six different continents.
This years Vancouver event gathered over 6,000 people, breaking the record for the largest outdoor dinner party in Canada. On August 18th, thousands of people dressed in white attended attended the event at Concord Pacific Place to enjoy good food, drinks, music and company.
