If you've been searching for easy chicken recipes, look no further. This quick and delicious balsamic honey chicken recipe will impress all of your dinner guests this weekend.
What you will need:
1/4 cup (60ml) balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup (120ml) fresh rosemary leaves
2 or 3 chicken legs (depends on your skillet size)
1/2 teaspoon salt & whole peppercorn, to taste
8 garlic cloves, peeled, de-germed
2 tablespoons olive oil
How it's made:
1. The first thing we'll want to do is create the sauce by combining the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, peppercorns, garlic and rosemary in a blender. Blend the mixture until it's smooth.
2. Place your pieces of chicken on a large surface and season thoroughly with salt and freshly cracked pepper.
3. Heat up the olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Now you'll want to lay down the pieces of chicken with the skin side down and cook for 5 minutes or until the skin gets a nice brown colour. Once one of the sides is nice and brown, flip the chicken over skin side up and lather it up with the balsamic/honey mixture. Turn down the heat to low and cover cook for about 15 - 20 minutes (or until thoroughly cooked).
4. Serve the chicken on a plate and drizzle the pan juices on top.
