Transitional Jackets

Transitional Jackets

Keep it light

The weather is finally starting to get warmer which means that it’s time to retire that puffy parka jacket. It might’ve been your closest companion over the last few months, but with a rise in temperatures, the time has come to say goodbye. Spring is all about transitional jackets. The weather has gotten warmer but it’s not quite warm enough to walk around in a short sleeve t-shirt and some jeans. Until then, grab yourself a lighter layering piece.

Lightweight Parkas

Light and Packable

For those of us who aren’t blessed with clear blue skies despite warmer spring temperatures, a lightweight parka is a great option this season. A lightweight parka is a great transitional piece since it’ll offer you the same protection from the rain as a regular parka without the added bulk. Most parka's are waterproof so make sure to take advantage of that. Rain jacket not enough to keep you dry? Wear it with some track pants and weather friendly sneakers for added protection(see outfit pictured above).

Denim Jackets

Denim Blues

This is one type of jacket which is not affected by yearly trends. Denim jackets have earned their place in every man's wardrobe no matter the year. Although denim jackets have always been in the spotlight, 2017 is the year of Double Denim. Next time you feel a little breeze, throw on a denim jacket with your favourite pair of jeans to look stylish and on-trend, while protecting yourself from the weather.

Bomber Jackets

Tried & True

The bomber jacket is yet another timeless menswear piece which never goes out of style. Although we saw a high influx of bomber jackets within the menswear landscape last year, the trend is nowhere near slowing down in 2017.

The great thing about bomber jackets is that they come in various levels of warmness. For spring, we recommend hanging up those puffy bombers and instead opting in for something lightweight. Try and find something that is composed of either cotton or nylon so that you won’t overheat on those warmer days. This will also ensure that you can continue to wear your bomber jacket all summer long.
