Ever see a meteor shower? You're in luck because the annual Lyrid Meteor Shower will be visible over North America on the evening of Sunday April 22 to the early hours of Monday April 23. This particular meteor shower is a result of the Earth passing through the debris left behind by a comet named C/1861 G1 or Thatcher.
If you would like to get the best view of this natural phenomenon, you will need to travel away from the bright city lights, to a higher elevated location with as little outdoor light as possible. According to the Weather Network, Vancouver skies are projected to be clear during Sunday evening, so pack your blankets, hot drinks, and get cozy underneath the starry night sky.
