May 17, 2018

Here are new tracks that you need to check out if you haven't already:

Childish Gambino - This is America

This track debuts this week at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is a Donald Glover's artistic representation of the issues and conflicts African American's face everyday.  If you haven't already, also check out the track's music video, which helps to explain the lyrics.

Travis Scott feat. Lil Uzi Vert & Kanye West - Watch

On the opposite side of the spectrum, Travis Scott's collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert and Kanye is simple and literal.  The only notable verse lies in Kanye's, where he raps about social media's constantly changing conspiracy theories about him from the illuminati to the sunken place, and America's addiction to prescription drugs that gets little attention.

J. Cole - KOD / 1985 - Intro to 'The Fall Off'

J Cole has broken streaming records left and right.  The opening track of his new album, KOD, has broken the record for first day streams in the US with 4.2 million streams in the first 24 hours.  Also from the album, 1985 - Intro to 'The Fall Off' has the most buzz, with its lyrics offering advice to hiphop's new generation of rappers.

Drake feat. Lil Baby - Yes Indeed

First released on OVO Sound Radio Episode 62, the track has since been released on streaming platforms.
