This season, Vancouver Fashion Week has showcased more menswear designers than ever before, and we sat in to some of the best shows. Some shows were more conceptual and attention-seeking, while others were more clean and laid back. Samuel Tick was the only footwear line on the show roster, but his show showed the diversity of footwear silhouettes in his collection.
Unique one-of-a-kind handmade shoes with different soles, closures, buckles, zippers, and mixed media roamed Samuel Tick's runway show. The unisex models mimicked the footwear; no one pair was designated as men's or women's. We particularly liked the vegan pink slip-on with the Balenciaga Speed Runner-esque sole (top right) and the multilayered lace up with zippered panel cover (top left).
