Celebrating the 15-year milestone of the influential collaboration between top Japanese designer, Yohji Yamamoto and athletic sportswear conglomerate, adidas, Y-3 presents fresh, innovative, and covetable pieces in it's Spring 2018 collection.
Y-3 has always had design, innovation, and textile exploration at its core, and with the 15th Anniversary milestone, Yohji Yamamoto has created a collection both on trend, and refreshingly different in its on right. This collection features everyone's favourite black and white staple pieces with pops of bright red and royal blue as feature colours. Garments continue to focus on mobility and comfort, with silhouettes that remain loose and free-flowing. Textile mixing continues to be a big theme in the collection with neoprene, nylon, sheer mesh, and lightweight cottons mixed in a myriad of different combinations. The classic minimalistic Y-3 logo is replaced by a new set of logos that feature Yohji Yamamoto's signature and the phrase "La marque aux 3 bands The brand with 3 stripes" for the 15th anniversary.
Footwear is also fresh and new with a complete range of new silhouettes featuring predominantly black and white colorways. Sneakers are styled with long socks featuring the iconic 3 stripes down the centre or anniversary logos, which are sure to be a hot item this season. The new Kusari sneaker stands out among the rest and is poised to be the new it-shoe for Spring 2018. Reworked Adilette sandals with this season's new logo are styled with long socks, proving that the sandal/sock trend will continue into 2018.
T-shirts and tops feature this season's new blue palm print, created by frequent collaborator, Taishi Hayashi. The overall effect of this design with the crisp colors and fluid movement in the collection is a refreshing airy springtime feel in this season's Y-3 collection.
